EDL supporter Craig Burgin waves “bad boy” machete in threatening video

Sarah Archibald - 07 06 17

Rotherham EDL supporter Craig Burgin has posted a video in which he brandishes a huge machete and threatens “scum bastard muzzy c****.”

Burgin, who is readily identifiable through his facial tattoos, refers to the weapon as “this bad boy” which he has “just sharpened up”.

It appears to be about three foot in length, and is part serrated.

Filming himself in what appears to be a children’s bedroom, he addresses Theresa May telling her to “get it sorted because there will be a war in England.” He seems keen on that idea.

Referring to himself as the Beefster, he declares: “I’m ready for you scum bastard muzzy c****. Bring your bombs ‘cos I’ll chop your f****** arms off with this bad boy.”

It’s not the first time he’s used Facebook to pose with the weapon. In another picture he brandishes it alongside a cleaver.

Burgin is known to us as an English Defence League (EDL) supporter. Indeed he attended the gang’s Rotherham protest this February which was organised and addressed by fellow South Yorkshireman, Ian Crossland.

His feet were on the street alongside EDL leader Alan Spence – a convicted violent criminal – and around only 80 other members of the now tiny group.

He was quite excited about it the night before, as he made clear in this video.

He also noted then how he’d had to remove some of his previous videos. “I’ve had Social Services all over me, calling me a racist c***,” he said. Children can be heard in the background.

Rotherham Children’s Services might well again be taking an interest after this little stunt.

The EDL today is reduced to the hardest of the hard core thugs and racists, of which Burgin is a prime example.

One final point. As well as having a love of huge bladed weapons, it seems Burgin also likes to abuse prescription medications. He might, we think, be a little dangerous.
