Dowson back in court

Jim Dowson, the man who helped build up and then destroy the British National Party, has been back in court today to answer charges arising from his alleged part in organising illegal protests during the Northern Ireland flag dispute.

Since leaving the BNP in 2010, the “colourful character” has been involved in a number of small groups, including his own Britain First, and the EDL-splinter group South East Alliance (SEA) and the English Democrats.

A court last week lifted restrictions on Dowson using both the internet and mobile telephones though we doubt it came as any surpirse to him to hear that both groups are faltering badly without his “Midas touch”.

Dowson was by all accounts represented in court by Jamie Bryson who has now become a highly controversial spokesperson for some elements in the Unionist community.
