Dowson launches thug army

Announcement: it almost marched off the page...

Announcement: it almost marched off the page...

Jim Dowson has taken a rare break from trying to destroy the peace process in Northern Ireland to launch another political street movement in England.

Called 'English National Resistance' the group is a combined gang of the thugs from the South East Alliance, led by former EDL regional organiser Paul Pitt, Dowson's own Britain First and the English Democratic Party. The group's logo has Dowson's own Britain First logo in its centre.

Not content with already pulling the strings behind Britain First, declaring war on the British Freedom Party, trying to mimick as well as destroy the BNP, Dowson also raises cash for the English Democrats.

The group first met in January to thrash out plans to unite and operate under a system of a combined and cooperative organisation with "governing council". Yes, it does sound rather like the Orange order..

We've been aware that this link-up was coming for some time, but it appears Dowson has jumped the gun a little after it emerged that the BNP was also trying to woo the South East Alliance, which will supply the foot-soldiers to this dubious coalition. Dowson has acted swiftly after he received feedback that the SEA were unimpressed with the Irish Republican sympathies of Steve Uncles, a lead member of the English Dems who met with the SEA at the January meeting.

Using Britain First's nominal leader Paul Golding as a cover for a long rant against constitutional politics, Dowson writes in an email to his members and thousands of former and current BNP and EDL members: "The political / elections route has always been the main focus for patriotic politics, but in recent years the emphasis has shifted away from elections towards militancy, campaigning and direct action... [his emphasis]

"The 'English National Resistance'(new logo crest pictured above right) will confront, demonstrate and protest nationwide against the politically correct enemies of our country.

An infrastructure is being put in place behind the scenes as you read this, more good news and announcements will be made soon."

It's no surprise to see the likes of Dowson, Golding and the limited number of Britain First linking up with thugs like the South East Alliance, but for the English Dems, as we have always warned they were, this puts them firmly into bed with fascists and Nazis.

Exclusive! EDL Bodyguard In Racist Death Link

posted by: Simon Cressy | on: Monday, 28 January 2013, 21:26

Andrew Currien

Andrew Currien

Hope not Hate can exclusively reveal that a key member of the EDL leadership bodyguard team was previously jailed for his part in a racist death.

Andrew Currien, from Lanesfield near Wolverhampton, was one of six men convicted in 2009 after a 59 year old man was crushed to death by a car following a violent brawl.

Wolverhampton Crown Court heard how a group of six men including Currien had been out on an all night drinking binge. The men had been driving around the area drinking when they pulled up outside a pub where a local man, Stainton Barrett, approached them asking for a light.

One of the men, Paul Welburn, got out of the car and chased Mr Barratt to his home nearby and Currien, Daryl Rickhuss and David Garner joined him as a fracas broke out with racist comments being hurled by the group of drunk men.

Mr Barrett went into the house and returned with his brother, armed with a hammer and a machete. It was then that Anthony Benson, who had remained in the vehicle, reversed the car crushing Stainton Barrett against his porch wall. Barrett was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Benson was found guilty of causing the death by dangerous driving and was sentenced to six years imprisonment.

Paul Welburn, from Bilston, was sentenced to four years jail after admitting violent disorder.

Andrew Currien along with Rickhuss and Garner- who are also EDL supporters from the Wolverhampton area- were all jailed for 18 months after they pleaded guilty to affray.

Finally, Ian Williams from Lanesfield, was given 18 months imprisonment after admitting conspiracy to pervert the course of justice after he tried to have the car scrapped to cover up the evidence.

Currien and his brother Kevin, regularly act as bodyguards to the EDL leadership of Stephen Lennon and Kevin Carroll.

Far-right round up

Marlene: Wants to get her hands of Adam's stipend apparently

Marlene: Wants to get her hands of Adam's stipend apparently

Potentially the world's longest and most pointless employment tribunal came to an abrupt end last week when American punk singer "Mish Bondage" finally had her claim against former BNP MEP Andrew Brons thrown out of an Edinburgh employment tribunal.

Mish, the wife of Brons's former factional rival and BNP mover and shaker Patrick Harrington, had been claiming sexual and religious discrimination as well as unfair dismissal against Brons.

This now confirms that there is one member of the BNP's inner circle less on the European payroll, so this could spell more bad news for the Walker family. For the last few months the BNP's office staff have been arguing among themselves over a number of seemingly petty issues which has been infuriating BNP leader Nick Griffin. The fighting and arguing initially began when members of the head office staff moved against Mark Walker last April.

With Patrick Harrington's faux Trade Union Solidarity in disarray,  Adam Walker, Mark's brother, may be next for the chopping block. That was certainly the whisper at the BNP's conference in Coventry yesterday.

Adam may have spent last week allegedly sweeping snow from the pavement in Spennymoor in the North East while wearing a bright yellow BNP jacket, but Adam was at the same time failing in his role as Yorkshire Regional Organiser to field a candidate in February's Castleford Central By-Election. If my memory serves me correctly, the BNP stood something like seventeen candidates around there in one go not so long ago. Needless to say, Adam blamed Alwyn Deacon who has taken over as elections officer, for the third missed by-election in the region of late. Adam really is fighting for his life.

Flavour of the moment Marlene Guest is among those jockeying for Adam's role in Yorkshire, which apparently comes with a stipend that few in the region were aware of. Word at yesterday's BNP conference in Coventry was that with Marlene thinking she's lined up to be the BNP's lead candidate in Yorkshire for the next Euro elections, she's not being too backwards in telling anyone that will listen that she could do Adam's job more effectively, either. Sadly for poor Adam, one or two in the party's head office see her as less competition for the Fuhrer's often limited-of- late affections.

The big shock for Marlene came yesterday when she was warned that Adam Walker has been promised the number one candidature for Yorkshire instead of her. She took it on the chin and went home and penned one of her notorious poems instead.

So, there may be good news for Brons and his office boy Eddy Butler on that count, but by all accounts there's not such good news for Butler's current political masters, the English Democrats. Rumour has it that Butler is currently on bail and it would be wrong to comment further on that case.

Nor will I comment much more on a particular piece written on the Enfield BNP facebook page (that's where they write their facebook postings, in case you were unaware.) Enfield BNP is run by Steve Squire. You work it out..

An inglorious day was had by all in Birmingham yesterday who attended the first rally of the tiny and stupid English Volunteer force (EVF). Some people seem to think that the EVF must be linked to the Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF) because they have similar names. Judging by the amount of self-promoting rubbish that arrives in our Po Box from their leader William Anderson, postmarked from his home in Weston-super-mare, they would probably really, really want people to belive that. However, what their self-styled Commander "Jason Lock" (Anderson's alter-ego) sends us, actually makes me think that they're more like a manufactured boy-band that has no management or record contract. Can't sing, can't spell, look awful, etc, etc..

The bigger EDL splinter group, South East Alliance (SEA), did manage to make it to Birmingham yesterday, swelling the total number there to 43. Twelve members of the group travelled from London and Essex to flex their drinking muscles with the EVF and their leader Paul Pitt by all accounts is revelling in his role as the most desirable hooligan active in Britain at the moment. The BNP, BF and ED are courting he and his motley crew and by all accounts Paul Pitt was very vocal in his opinions of some people.

we recently covered the activities of the EDL-backed "Forgotten estates" group in Leicester, in Hope Not Hate magazine. Yesterday, Nick Lowles wrote how Leicester Council has been keen to legitimize the group in spite of evidence linking some of the organisation to both the EDL and some of the other splinter groups from that group.

The "Forgotten Estates" police liaison officer has now been found guilty of leaving a pig's head outside of a community centre used by the Muslim community in Leicester.

Kirklees EDL Link Up With NF & BNP

posted by: Simon Cressy | on: Monday, 21 January 2013, 23:50

Mark Johnson aka Mark "Darky" Carlton

Mark Johnson aka Mark "Darky" Carlton

Not a week goes by without an attempted link up by the EDL with a variety of far right misfits under the banner of unity.

Take this week for instance, Kirklees EDL are attempting to organise a far right get together with various washed up bigots in the Huddersfield and Dewsbury area.

Organising the festivities is Kirklees EDL leader Mark Johnson, better known in EDL circles as Mark “Darky” Carlton.

Johnson from Thurstonland is a well-known Huddersfield Town Football hooligan (and son of a serving police officer) who received a 12 month suspended sentence and 200 hours community service after he led a gang of 9 EDL yobs in a violent attack at an anti-racism concert in Leeds in 2011.

Invited to the party is Dewsbury based racist David Kirby. Kirby, who also uses the alias Walter Plinge was once a BNP member but now is a familiar face with the far right National Front along with the almost defunct neo Nazi British Movement.

A regular at NF demonstrations, Kirby openly admits to hating anyone who isn’t white, calling for their immediate expulsion from the UK.

He is the De facto NF organiser in Dewsbury, not through his ability but down to the fact there are so few NF members in the town it was him or nobody.

Also from Dewsbury is the one time BNP member Frank Atack who stood as a candidate on several occasions in his West Yorkshire hometown.

Once a close friend of BNP leader Nick Griffin, Atack used to play in a far right folk band alongside a couple of BNP councillors. They regularly played at BNP functions and even performed on a couple of occasions with Griffin himself.

Atack has a penchant for WW2 Nazi uniforms, in particular those of the murderous Waffen SS and is a self-confessed fan of Adolf Hitler’s “Mein Kampf”. So it will come as no surprise that Frank isn’t a big fan of anything he deems as non-Aryan either.

So I can only presume that Kirby and Atack haven’t actually met Johnson before as he is of mixed race.

We can only wonder what the EDL leadership will think when they find out one of their leading members is due to meet up with NF and BNP members?

We can also only wonder what the NF leadership will think when they find out one of their leading members is due to meet up with non-white EDL members?

The meeting is due to take place this Sunday 27th of January and could be very interesting indeed. I’ll keep you posted.

BDP Chairman Kevin Scott goes looking for the party website

BDP Chairman Kevin Scott goes looking for the party website

Some mirth in the BNP this morning, with BNP leader Nick Griffin ringing around his staff to try and scupper the eventual launch of the rival British Democratic Party (BDP).

The BDP is the party of Griffin's former friend and fellow BNP MEP, Andrew Brons. Brons quit the BNP last October after months and months of internal disputes and the party membership factionalising behind the rival MEPs.

The "true" rival to the BNP tried to launch itself last November under the name True Brits but it fell to pieces just days after the launch when it became apparent that few BNP members were willing to jump ship to a party with the homosexual Peter Phillips as its nominal leader.

Since then, the BDP has been led by the BNP's former North East organiser, Kevin Scott.

Griffin is apparently absolutely delighted that the BDP is to properly try and launch itself next month. Having spent a good three months trying to knock the BNP into shape, and purged and isolated anybody within the BNP capable of causing him further problems [except Clive Jefferson], Griffin feels that he is in a good enough position to "smash" the BDP before it becomes a serious challenge.

The BDP has spent the last couple of months trying to get itself into shape, but by all accounts, Griffin's spies have told him that he has little to worry about. The BDP figurehead, Brons, seems to have shown little interest in actually playing any constructive part in the new party and the collection of Jew haters, Holocaust deniers and employees of the Iranian government that make up the rest of the "drinks cabinet" that is the rest of the BDP leadership, have no record of party activism whatsoever.

So it's no surprise that news that the BDP are launching again is described as "Time For A Party" in Kevin Scott's announcement this morning.  Scott announces that "The British Democratic Party will be a party with a difference. It will be built from the bottom upwards." Perhaps they have applied the Oscar Wilde school of thought to their model of nationalist politics, which is something like "we are all in the gutter.."

Although Griffin is full of joy at the news and even encouraging his members to attend what he thinks will be a disastrous launch of the British Democratic Party, for its sins, the BDP knows that there are plenty of former BNP members out there with still no political home to go to.

According to Scott, the "BNP has lost 85-90% of its members, activists and candidates." Of course, during those months and months of planning, the BDP forgot to even build itself a website!

The revolution is still more than T-shirt away.

Mick Braun (with Griffin): Nothning nice to say about Dowson or Tillbrook

Mick Braun (with Griffin): Nothning nice to say about Dowson or Tillbrook

My colleague Nick Lowles seems to have upset the leader of the far-right English Democrats, Robin Tillbrook.

The English Democrats are notorious for picking over the bones of failed Nazi groups in a never-ending and desperate search for new members. They've even go as far as to mimic the BNP's fundraising by hiring the same Scotsman the BNP did who runs an office doing said fundraising from Northern Ireland.

Currently, the largest carcass on the far-right is the English Defence League (EDL). Everybody has been fighting to pick what is left off those bones and it has turned into a three horse race between Britain First, The English Democrats and of course, the BNP. The British Freedom Party, which was supposed to be the political wing of the EDL, appears to have fallen at the first hurdle.

The main group to come out of the EDL worth fighting over, is the newly formed South East Alliance, led by Paul Pitt from Essex.

Having spent time supping lagers in a pub in Crayford, Kent, with the likes of Dowson, Tillbrook and super-brain Steve Uncles last weekend, this weekend Pitt took his group down to visit the BNP at the ELM Park hotel in Hornchurch, Essex.

There it was the turn of local BNP super-brain Mick Braun to do his best to win Pitt's affections.

Word is that Pitt and his off-sider Al Francis were far more comfortable with the BNP crowd and our insider at the social evening tells us Braun was less than flattering about the English Democrats and Jim Dowson in particular.

Still, if the English Dems want to go and pick over the bones of that meeting, the Elm Park Hotel is soon to be turned into a Sainsbury's. Who knows what they'll dig up once they've knocked the pub down? One man's trash is another man's treasure after all..

Micky Bayliss: Doing some serious flag business in Manchester tomorrow

Micky Bayliss: Doing some serious flag business in Manchester tomorrow

Unsurprisingly, Nick Griffin did not show his face at the Oxford Union last night. Instead, George Hargreaves of the Christian Party spoke.

Hargreaves is no stranger though. Hargreaves and Griffin both used to hire the "Truth truck" when it was for hire from the dubious Jim Dowson, the man who seems to own just about everything and everyone to do with the far-right in this country at the moment. Hargreaves last came to our attention back in 2010 when he made what could have been a disastrous intervention in the General Election, so nearly disastrous that it could have helped Nick Griffin get elected.

Some uncharitable locals even suggested that the BNP had helped with the electoral deposits for the Christian Party in both the Barking and Dagenham seats.

BNP leader Griffin has been feeling a little out of the loop lately by all accounts. BNP insiders tell us that he has been having a few problems with some of his head office staff and among those currently sulking with Griffin include Patrick Harrington and Adam Walker, two of the more notorious Griffin sycophants of recent times.

Without those two chiwawas following the Fuhrer around telling him how wonderful he is, poor old Nick may well regret the decision to put himself on a national speaking tour in February. The ten date tour includes an afternoon session in the South West on the 10th Feb. For those who don’t know, Nick visits some special friends when in the South West and performs for them privately and like a monkey, for a few quid. No doubt Clive “Rodney” Jefferson will be absent from this meeting as Griffin has been feeling that “Rodney” already knows where too many bodies are buried already.. Oh yes, we know everything..

With so many of what is left of the EDL in prison or awaiting sentencing, one has to ask whether Darrell Copeland from Bletchley in Milton Keynes hasn’t stumbled upon a unique way of beating the law. Darrell was charged with Section 4 Public Order offences, using threatening words or behaviour, at an EDL demo in Norwich last November.

Darrell’s latest ruse of inventing witnesses is, I suppose, a more preferable way of beating the law than Darrell’s last attempt..

For those heading to Manchester tomorrow for the ‘flag’ demonstration, keep an eye out for the EDL’s Mick Bayliss. Judging by this picture taken today, he’s really looking forward to his day in the snow. Bayliss is organising the EDL contingent on the day. Here he models his ex-wife's undies in a picture he thinks will humiliate her!

English clown enters flag debate

Steve Uncles: Would sell his English pony for an Irish Euro

Steve Uncles: Would sell his English pony for an Irish Euro

The English Democrats (ED) did not respond well to being exposed  taking another startling and further dip into the far-right earlier this week.

Among the usual abuse we received were, of course, accusations that we are somehow involved in the genocide of the English and attempts to introduce Sharia law into England!

One of the most obvious consequences of the ED getting further involved with fascists has been the sheer destruction of English spelling and grammar by those shrieking at us. Of course, they have not denied the truth behind our article.

Choosing to lie down with ultra-Loyalist money bags Jim Dowson will always be problematic for anyone. One English Democrat in particular must be having to bite his lip more than most.

Kent based ED “big-wig” Steve Uncles doubles up as the ED in-house clown as well as membership secretary.  In his mission to save England from the alleged marauding Scottish and their free health care and education systems, added to the evidence of his apparent hatred for the rest of the UK, there’s not much he will not do to try and sell out the rest of these islands.

Indeed, Uncles once even contacted Sinn Fein (in 2009) to try and sell them Northern Ireland as part of a proposed “anti-British alliance.” All they had to do was deposit some lucre into the perennially empty ED bank account, and Uncles promised to ensure that his party would deliver their joint “anti-British message” to some 45 million people, demanding that Northern Ireland “leave the UK.”

Uncles was prepared to meet the Provisional IRA’s political wing in Dublin to discuss it further but, alas, it came to nothing for poor Steve. They refused, unsurprisingly...

Uncles has not finished there, however.  Recently he went as far as to actually redesign the flag for Northern Ireland in an article entitled “Get your hands off the cross of St George” where he berates people, like Dowson, for waving the Northern Ireland flag with its cross of St George on it.

He writes, “Maybe if Northern Ireland gets its own flag, it can stop being silly about the Union Jack”.

Uncles’s suggestion that Northern Ireland be booted out the UK will be sure to irk the new-found ED guru, Jim Dowson. However, the new flag that Uncles is suggesting may well appeal to Dowson’s Scottish heritage as it has a saltire on it, and not the cross of St George. But it will irk many of the English far-right activists that the ED are hoping to sign-up in a desperate bid to fill Dowson’s pockets.

The ordinary people of Northern Ireland, whatever their sway, will probably just agree that Uncles is a clown. A desperate clown.

Sam Gordon writes:

*Minor point but the cross on the Northern Ireland flag is the cross of the De Burgos family, who were ancient Earls of Ulster. It has nothing to do with the St George's Cross, which should have a much narrower red stripe but in these days of printed nylon flags, they do tend to look alike.*

BNP laments limping in flag protests

posted by: Matthew Collins | on: Wednesday, 16 January 2013, 17:58

Griffin: Getting desperate

Griffin: Getting desperate

Gerry Adams may believe that the BNP is behind the ongoing 'flag' trouble in Belfast, but although they have shown their horrible faces, BNP leader Nick Griffin has been lamenting to those close to him, the BNP's lack of credible presence in the dispute.

Partly this is down to the fact that Griffin's enemy Jim Dowson has tried almost everything within his power to keep the BNP away from the protests and further to that, the BNP in Northern Ireland is in somewhat of a decline after the BNP's disastrous business practices there.

It's not unusual for people to think that anything to do with the Union Flag in some way involves the BNP (or previously the National Front), but the reality is that many locals just do not want the BNP there and Griffin himself admits that the reality is that the BNP does not do as well there as people may think.

So with the BNP missing another major opportunity to soil Britain's national flag, Griffin has been in Strasbourg this week mulling over his remaining opportunities for publicity and shame.

He's been weighing up another stupid sectarian attack on the Irish nation as he is desperate for the publicity at the moment. He was hoping for a huge protest in Oxford tomorrow night to get him into the headlines, but that fell flat after a simple phone call.

So, this afternoon, Griffin was filming one of his notorious BNP TV addresses from inside the European Parliament in Strasbourg. I'm not sure when it's going to air, because to be honest, our man there tells me the whole thing seemed to be rather painful and riven with incompetence and insecurity on Griffin's part.

Still, Griffin will weigh in on the flag argument with an attack on Irish nationalists in the Short Strand in Belfast and Republicans Gerry Adams, Martin Mcguiness and Alex Maskey in particular, some time this week. No doubt he hopes he can gain some headlines for more outrageous comments, but he should be careful; Griffin may have boxed at University, but Maskey was a very succesful amateur boxer and an outspoken critic of the BNP..

For now, Griffin sees the future of the BNP in Northern Ireland in still trying to milk cash out of the Unionist/Protestant community. It seems so long ago now that Griffin and his close friends were trying to squeeze funds and friendship from the same pool that the PIRA was.

Is it any wonder Patrick Harrington has been sulking with him lately?

Another EDL gang sentenced

Docherty;

Docherty;

Five EDL members have been sentenced this morning for between fourteen and four months to prison.

The gang, from leeds and Bradford are: David Lawler, Kevin Angelo Docherty, Mark Peel, Robert Adrian Collington, Steven Philip Woodhead.

We covered their arrests last year here.  Stephen Woodhead and the Bradford EDL organiser Kevin Docherty  appeared at Leeds Crown Court and both admitted violent offences dating back to March when the EDL held a small flash demonstration in the town of Cleckheaton.

After the demo a number of the protesters headed to the nearby towns of Dewsbury and Heckmondwike where violence and disorder soon broke out.

Docherty pleaded guilty to racially aggravated criminal damage and violent disorder after two Asian men were chased through Dewsbury. Docherty had previously tried to attack Bradford MP George Galloway.

Woodhead pleaded guilty to racially aggravated common assault.

English Democrats Link Up With Thugs & Nazis

posted by: Simon Cressy | on: Monday, 14 January 2013, 22:12

It wouldn't be the first time that members of the English Democrats have questioned the judgement of their leader Robin Tilbrook.

Tilbrook split his party in two in 2011 after he accepted great swathes of far right refugees into his party following the meltdown of Nick Griffin's BNP.

It seems he is on a collision course with the remainder of his party following his latest link up with a variety of racist thugs and bigots.

The English Democrat leader was invited to attend a far right assemblage in Dartford, Kent organised by Jim Dowson, leader of the tiny far right outfit Britain First.

The intention of the meeting was to form a "unified street protest movement." no doubt as a rival to the fast disappearing EDL.

Other racists invited to the shindig included Paul Pitt, the recently sacked Essex EDL organiser whose real name is Paul Prodromou.

Since his sacking from his EDL post, Pitt has made a variety of threats aimed at his ex EDL comrades, promising bloody retribution for his fall from grace.

Pitt who heads the newly formed "South East Alliance" is close friends with the notoriously violent neo-nazi Eddie Stampton.

Stampton has a long CV of violent far right activity including membership of the British Movement, British Peoples Party, The National Front and Combat 18 amongst others.

Linking up with Stampton and Pitt is the South Ockenden based Al Francis who regularly turns out for the BNP and EDL in Essex and London and who was most recently observed at the annual National Front Remembrance Sunday march to the Cenotaph in November alongside other members of the EDL.

Also present was Greg Bingham from Bexley EDL. Bingham drew attention to himself in 2011 after he issued a number of threats directed at the Occupy protestors camped out at the London Stock Exchange. Bingham threatened to kill some of the protestors whilst setting fire to their tents. The larger than life nazi also attempted to whip up his friends into a frenzy so they would also launch an attack.

Tilbrook managed to bring his own idiot to the party. Tony Gladwin once of the BNP and now a firm fixture within the English Democrats was exposed a few years back mocking Thalidomide sufferers on his Facebook profile, claiming they looked like "Sea Lions".

We will hopefully have more information later in the week regarding this ship of fools

Tilbrook's political reputation was already on a tightrope following his first foray into the realms of the far right. Linking up a second time with violent bigots will see his credibility shot to pieces.

Not a happy bunny

Not a happy bunny

BNP chairman Nick Griffin isn't very happy, in fact it could be said he is a little bit peeved with Hope not Hate and in particular my colleague Matthew Collins.

Matthew spoke to the Oxford Union to discuss the fact that they had invited Griffin to take part in a debate over gay parents.

As we have already explained The Oxford Union have said the Griffin invite was a mistake and instantly withdrew the invite, thanking Hope not Hate and Matthew for letting them know.

Griffin has now been informed and on his Twitter account wrote " Oxford Union debating society having surrendered to leftist threats & rescinded my debate invitation, now 'commends the work' of left thugs. "

We would just like to point out that unlike Nick Griffin, Matthew has a clean criminal record with no convictions.

And unlike Griffin, Matthew stopped being a fascist many years ago, whereas Nick Griffin carried on, making a 30 year career out of it.

You can read Matthew Collins exploits in his book "Hate, My Life in the British Far Right" here.

Griffin's Oxford invite rescinded

Griffin: Will be watching Eastenders instead this Thursday

Some confusion at the Oxford Union over the invitation to Nick Griffin to speak this Thursday.

Apprently they have just discovered that the invite was sent out by a new member of the committee last December (as well as to Lady Gaga and Mitt Romney) and have immediately rescinded the invitation.

Judith Flacks, campaigns director for UJS, tweeted that the invitation was "unacceptable" and said it should be withdrawn. "Stop actively inviting BNP leaders to speak on campus," she wrote in a message directed at the Union. "Start realising your responsibility to student welfare."

Their very nice press officer tells me he is very "****** off" that Griffin was ever invited at all. Alex Reut-Hobbs told me "A new Union committee member arbitrarily invited Griffin. We're taking disciplinary action, and Griffin's invite now rescinded".

No doubt Griffin will blame Muslims, Jews, liberals, Communists, gays, blacks, Asians etc, etc for this.

Good!

Despite their assumed privilige, will the Union never learn?

Griffin's been invited to speak this Thursday on the motion "This House Would be Glad to Have Gay Parents".

Griffin, of course, does not like gay people, but there seems to be a complete shortage of other homophobes readily available to Oxford this year to speak against the motion.

Griffin's recent record on gay people and gay rights speaks for itself. Never mind how his party, the BNP, poisoned the mind of London nail bomber David Copeland to the extent that he went out and killed gay people.

The ongoing hatred of gay people is still a encouraged in the BNP today. So what is the point of inviting Griffin (again)?

Let's stop this vile racist poisoning the minds of more young people and say NO to Griffin spreading his vile hatred.

EDL Division Declares Support For UKIP

posted by: Simon Cressy | on: Sunday, 13 January 2013, 21:35

In a move that is sure to infuriate the EDL leadership an EDL division has bucked the trend and declared its support for UKIP.

The Dewsbury EDL division, based in West Yorkshire has announced it is supporting the anti European party after its leader Nigel Farage topped a recent MSN poll naming him the top UK politician of 2012.

The support for the rival right wing party will no doubt irritate joint EDL leaders Stephen Lennon aka Tommy Robinson and the new British Freedom chairman Kevin Carroll who became leader of the BNP splinter at the beginning of the year following the resignation of its previous chairman Paul Weston.

It is unclear if the Dewsbury division is just a rogue division or if other divisions within the EDL will follow and offer its support to UKIP.

Nick Griffin: Hypocrisy In Action

Griffin: Alongside his fascist comrades The Front National

If you have had the misfortune of reading the BNP's manifesto you would have seen located in the foreign affairs section the following statements.

" Britain’s foreign relations should be determined by the protection of our own national interests and not by our like or dislike of other nations’ internal politics."

" Britain has no right to dictate the internal politics or social configuration of any other nation. We would also expect all other nations to grant this same right to Britain."

If this is the case why is Nick Griffin taking part in the large rally through the centre of Paris, calling for the French government to scrap plans to give gay couples the right to marry and adopt children?

Isn't it French internal politics ? I'd suggest Griffin minds his own business.

Exclusive: Sectarian killer joins BNP for Belfast flag protest

Glen Kane, convited secatarian murderer

Glen Kane, convited secatarian murderer

Here's Glen Kane, the convicted sectarian murderer representing the BNP at the ongoing flag protests in Belfast.

Many Unionists have been concerned that the BNP would try and hijack their protest after it emerged that former BNP man Jim Dowson has already pushed himself to the front of the argument.

The BNP knows full well that Kane was convicted of causing the death of a Catholic man in 1992 during a sectarian riot. He was among a group of men who battered 35-year old Catholic man Kieran Abram to death.

Sources inside the BNP confirm that Kane is a member of the party and has been a regular at BNP events, and has met Nick Griffin.

Abram was battered to death by the group outside of a bar in the early hours of the morning. Kane was sentenced to nine years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter.

Having a sectarian killer in the BNP's ranks will not bother Griffin or the BNP too much. Griffin has been desperate to promote his own hatred of Irish Catholics of late.

Josh: Tool and shed springs to mind

Josh: Tool and shed springs to mind

Saying farewell this week is Joshua Wren of the BNP. Joshua, who is gay, has suddenly discovered that the BNP is full of homophobes and he has been sickened to read what some BNP members think of gay people.

Perhaps Joshua should have read about David Copeland, the London nail-bomber before joining the BNP in the first place. Joshua is leaving the BNP, because in his own words, the BNP are behaving like Muslims!!

Since quitting the BNP, Joshua has been inundating us with emails and messages. Let's hope he does not decide he now wants to switch to UKIP..

Joshua will have missed the excellent BNP event "Question Time For Patriots" last week, where five panelists from the BNP were grilled by eight BNP members... getting the picture yet? The BNP did not even invite dissenting fascists along to make it interesting. I have only one question for the panel: "Which BNP organiser sells dirty videos and date rape drugs?"

Well, they do say 'the grass is always greener,' so residents of Ontario in Canada should prepare themselves for the arrival of the animal abusing, Jew-hating, nasal, neo-Nazi John Snowy Shaw in the near future.

Except, he's probably not actually relocating there at all. But if Britain's number one Llama Harmer and crack-addicted toy soldier wants his diminishing number to join him for a night of hedonism, he may as well give them a good excuse.

It's rather nice of Snowy to invite both Nick Lowles and I to his party, too. Nick's dance card is fully booked up for the near future, bet rest assured one of our team will be there anyway. Who knows, we'll probably even tweet live as the drug squad kicks what is left of Snowy's front door off its hinges..

And so, not only is it goodbye to John Snowy Shaw, but by all accounts "The Quarterly Review" too. The editor, Derek "Your Friendly Neighbourhood Nazi" Turner, will only be producing an on-line version from now onwards. It won't be missed. ..

In what's left of EDL world, Birmingham EDL are threatening to attack the rival EVF's shinding in Birmingham a fortnight after the EDL's own planned debacle in Solihull this weekend. What with what was Essex EDL now attending the EVF's demonstration and not the EDL's event, we suggest pulling up a comfortable chair and watching this one go off like a belated firework display.

The BNP are planning a demonstration of their own very soon, too. Donna Treanor, an apparent big fan of 1980's Madonna and all round shrinking violet has called on the troops to join her next Monday outside of the Old Bailey at 0900hrs to picket a court case involving alleged paedophiles.

The defendants are Asian, of course. The BNP does not campaign against white members of the public or their own members who are charged with crimes against children. Were they to do so, one suggests they consider holding an anti-paedophile demonstration a little closer to home. By the sea, even, perhaps?

Violent Thug Behind EDL Demo

Matthew Pile

This Saturday will see the first EDL demo of 2013 take place in the West Midlands town of Solihull.

Whilst it is only a regional demonstration the poor people of Solihull will have to endure a couple of hundred racist thugs descend upon their proud town.

One of the people organising the demonstration for the EDL is the Birmingham EDL organiser Matthew Pile.

Pile, a Birmingham City hooligan from Yardley who has a conviction for assault has been telling the police and the media that the EDL are not racist and they will be peacefully protesting in the town.

However, the photos we post here suggest something very different.

Homophobia & The BNP

posted by: Simon Cressy | on: Tuesday, 8 January 2013, 16:14

Joshua Wren

Joshua Wren

There has never been many openly gay members of the BNP, probably due to the huge amount of hatred and homophobia that exists within the BNP.

However, in recent years one gay BNP activist has emerged as a kind of unofficial spokesman for the small gay community within the British National Party.

Joshua Wren from Swansea has never hidden his sexuality from his fellow bigots in the BNP but now it seems the hatred directed towards him and the gay community has reached a point where even he can no longer stay within the party.

We have obtained a copy of a letter he penned yesterday to the BNP membership department announcing his immediate resignation from the party.

I reproduce the text in full below.

Dear sir/madam

I write to cancel my BNP membership with immediate effect.

I didn’t come to this choice lightly, however after reading an article posted on your website on the Monday 7th Jan. I came to the conclusion this party is no longer for me.

The article in question was the one about the Radio 4 interview about homosexuals in the church. It wasn’t the article that sickened me, it was the comments by members/supporters that was allowed to be on the comments section by your moderator.

I pick a few that disturbed me below:

disgusting & immoral”

disease spreading carrion”

everything god & man finds repulsive”

And for the most vile. “If all homosexuals were put on an island, they would eventually die out. There has never been a BUM BABY”

This I found to be unbelievable to be allowed to be posted on a political website. These kinds of views/opinions are nazi like and sound even like the views of a Muslim.

I will no longer be associated with such evil and hatred towards a sexual preference.

I hereby give notice of my membership cancellation.

Yours sincerely

Joshua Wren

P.S My direct debit has been cancelled also.

Lennon to play tag?

Happy: Gower becomes all maternal when her "Tommy" gets mentioned

EDL leader Stephen Lennon is apparently very happy to have only received ten months in prison for passport fraud earlier today.

According to his personal assistant Hel Gower, "we are one step nearer to having him back with us."

Wow. I'll tell the dog he is vacating his kennel sooner than expected.

Lennon is hopeful of being released on "tag" because of his good behaviour while on remand, where he was locked up with other prisoners who do not fair too well among the general prison populace

However, given his long list of previous convictions and the fact that he has no problem travelling on false documents, I'd suggest he'd be very lucky indeed to be allowed out on a tag. In his favour is, I suppose, the fact that he was not charged as an adherent or alleged adherent of a fanatical Islamist group.

Lennon only travelled to the United States on a false passport as the leader of a violent, supposed Christian group.

Already, what is left of the EDL are torn between outrage and delight at the outcome, probably none more so than Gower who, in Lennon's absence, has tried her best to hold the EDL together in the face of a mountain of abuse from disgruntled former EDL supporters and factional rivals.

Lennon's jailing another nail for the EDL coffin

posted by: Matthew Collins | on: Monday, 7 January 2013, 12:56

Lennon: Nicked

Lennon: Nicked

There will be some mirth and laughter in antifascist circles after a court today sentenced EDL thug Stephen Lennon to ten months in prison for using someone else's passport to get into the United States.

Lennon is currently facing other charges not related to his EDL activities, too.

If antifascists are laughing, then Lennon's former comrades (who ran a campaign to free him under his false name Tommy Robinson) will be feeling the pain. For it was only they, believing that it was all part of some kind of Marxist-Islamic conspiracy theory, that ever doubted his guilt.

Lennon pleaded guilty to entering the USA on a false passport to attend a rally organised by US-hater Pam Geller, having previously being denied entry to the country using his own passport. Back in November we asked when she would be questioned over her part in his illegal entry into the US.

We also asked, earlier in the year, how Lennon managed to address a meeting at the European parliament. There is no record of any of the known aliases that Lennon uses signing into the European parliament on that day.

A lot of people are asking why Lennon's name on his real passport is apparently Paul Harris. This could be a case of Lennon changing his name for the purpose of travelling to football matches to avoid banning orders. He has among other convictions, a conviction for football violence in Germany.

The outlook for the EDL has not been that good for a while. On Saturday, EDL members went to Milton Keynes for a "free Tommy Robinson" demonstration and discovered that he was not even being held at HMP Woodhill anymore. They went to the pub and got roaring drunk instead.

The danger now, however, is what the fractured masses of EDL members do next. Much of the EDL's orbit lost interest in Lennon's plight over a year ago anyway.

So far, they're more interested in fighting each other. But they may turn their attentions further to those who have campaigned against them and their message of hate.

We must remain vigilant. Whilst Lennon's imprisonment will put another nail in the EDL's coffin, he will not be off the streets for too long-probably as little as three months.

The danger of those who followed him remains.

Democracy: BNP Style

posted by: Simon Cressy | on: Monday, 7 January 2013, 09:06

I enjoy a chuckle and this certainly made me smile.

Following Nick Griffin's disastrous 2009 appearance on Question Time, the far right party has always felt a little bit unhappy about the fact that their party or leader hasn't been invited back onto the BBC's flagship political programme.

So, to combat their perceived rejection the BNP have started to produce their own version of QT, "Question Time For Patriots" (Honest, I'm not kidding).

On the normal BBC format we see the host of the show David Dimbleby introduce 5 guests spanning a cross section of political opinion in this country.

The BNP version is somewhat different, remember they aren't too keen on people disagreeing with them, so it should come as no surprise that the chair of the show is a BNP official, Richard Perry, Eastern regional organiser.

In the spirit of fairness surely the remaining guests would be from different political parties? No is the answer to that one.

The remaining guests were also BNP officials including the scandal ridden London organiser Steve Squire.

The BBC version attempts to have an audience that truly represents the general public and the area that the programme is being filmed in.

The BNP audience? That's right, completely made up of BNP members and officials as well.

So that's a BNP TV channel, with a BNP made programme and a BNP presenter, introducing BNP guests to a BNP audience !!

I can't see it catching on.

Britain First Organiser Quits

Gary Raikes

Gary Raikes

I've been watching footage of the rioting that has been taking place in Belfast over the past few nights and it makes for worrying viewing.

One name that crops up time and time again is Jim Dowson, the former BNP fundraiser, religious zealot and now leader of the tiny far right group Britain First. Dowson appears keen to pour the proverbial fuel on the Belfast fires, attempting to stir up trouble behind the ongoing flag protests.

This is classic Dowson methodology who believes that the flurry of publicity can only be good fortune for his political party and more importantly for his bank balance.

So I have to wonder what Dowson makes of the behaviour of one of his right hand men, the Scottish organiser Gary Raikes?

Raikes has announced his retirement from politics until we uncover a new Oswald Mosley. His recent obsession with the founder of the British Union of Fascists has caused alarm with his some of his friends in recent months, with some questioning the formers Scottish BNP leader's mental health.

Quite what the staunch Ulster Loyalist Dowson makes of it is uncertain, he is unlikely to be amused especially as Mosley made no secret of his support for Irish nationalism and his admiration for the IRA and in particular the Irish republican leader Michael Collins. In 1970 Mosley said ' The division of Ireland is wrong . It should end as soon as possible.

Raikes and his Mosley love affair could be bad for business for Jim Dowson.

Exclusive: Dowson defends Loyalist gunman

Dowson: At the funeral of UVF founder Gusty Spence in 2011

Dowson: At the funeral of UVF founder Gusty Spence in 2011

Britain's busiest hate-monger Jim Dowson has been busy in Northern Ireland of late, helping stir up trouble behind the flag protests.

The former BNP fundrasier has been vocal in telling his old friends in the BNP to stay out of Belfast while he pushes himself as the spokesperson for the protestors.

Dowson has for the last two days been present in east Belfast, where rioting has grown even more ferocious and he has been reporting back to his fascist followers in England, just how close to the action he is.

Yesterday and today Dowson has been directing his anger at the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) in a series of social media exchanges as Loyalists complain that the police have been too heavy handed in dealing with their protests.

Local journalists claim that there is now growing evidence that hardened Loyalist paramilitaries are stepping up their involvement in the near month long protest, though the UDA has itself refuted their alleged involvement, claiming that the protests in fact play into the hands of Republicans.

This afternoon, as clashes again spilled across Belfast and Loyalists and nationalists confronted each other near the Short Strand in east Belfast, a gunman stepped out of the Loyalist protest to fire shots at the police officers. Local sources claim it is the UVF that has been orchestrating the trouble in east Belfast.

Michael Cairns, an Editor with the BBC tweeted: "Police targeted by gunman in UVF part of East Belfast. Any difference in this and the attempt to kill an officer by dissidents a mile away?"

As the shots were being fired at the PSNI, Dowson took to his facebook page to defend the firing of shots at police officers. Following a long rant directed at the PSNI, Dowson wrote "well, if you [PSNI]attack innocent Loyalists, our fighting men will respond".

UTV (that's ITV in Northern Ireland), did tend to concur tonight that the protests were peaceful until the clashes with police, which appears to have sparked the gun-shots.

Dowson has a long alleged association with the UVF. The UVF and it satellites have recently had no time for the BNP, either. He has also recently become involved with factions in the EDL and the English Democrats, for whom he raises funds.

Weston: I'll miss your shenanigans

Weston: I'll miss your shenanigans

And so we bid adieu to Paul Weston who brought so much light, in such a short time, to so few.

Weston is standing down from his role as "Chairman" of the British Freedom Party (BFP) to concentrate on writing a book instead. Indeed, in his own words, this magnificent book will be a "literary contribution to the battle against Britain’s national trajectory."

I for one wish Paul all the very best. I have enjoyed covering his short political career. Weston promised only last April that the BFP was going to fight every European and Westminster seat-and win them. He wasn't sure how many seats that would mean or where the money or candidates would actually come from, but that really did not seem to matter. All that Paul (thought he) knew was that the tie-up with the EDL was going to be the best and most earth-shattering thing to happen to this nation since Channel Five got the rights to show Big Brother.

That he was also unsure as to whether people were elected to the House Of Lords was only a minor detail. It was his energy and his capacity for mass confusion that endeared him to us. That and his ability to get bladdered in foreign countries and then apparently dream that he had been mugged.

If Weston has given up on his political dream, no-one should doubt the determination of his replacement, Kevin Carroll. Carroll has really got the political bug, as was evident in his Christmas rant to his and cousin Stephen's dwindling supporters in the EDL. Having seen the unedited version, I think the actual total number of times he uses the word "mug" to describe former friends and colleagues is about 17. I went for a cup of tea half way through and when I got back with my own (white) mug he was bragging about how the EDL had grown massively in 2012, and their supporter-base was approximately on a par with the population of China.

News that Carroll has taken over as the BFP's new Chairman has already been met with guffaws from the BNP, where he is not-so-lovingly referred to as "Vicky Pollard". Sometime later his month Carroll will probably try and merge the BFP/EDL with a pub chain.

By the way, the last EDL-backed candidate to stand for "law and order" is currently unavailable for comment.

While we're about it, we've had a missive from the EDL's Diane Scrimshaw, who complains that she was unaware that she and her husband were on the NF's march to the cenotaph last November! According to Diane, she and her husband missed the morning's real events (where soldiers and heads of state commemorate Britain's war dead,) so she and her husband decided to join a march that actually, among other things, commemorates the Nazi war dead instead.

Scrimshaw says she was unaware that it was an NF march. I'll highlight once again the link to the report we did of the day's events and wonder aloud how she was not aware that she was on the NF's national day of disgrace.

But not to worry, Diane. You are not alone in missing the obvious. According to the Manchester Evening News, the EDL are planning a "huge demo" in Manchester in March. According to the paper, "Manchester is braced for another mass demonstration by the far-right English Defence League.

The group has announced it plans a huge rally in the city centre from 1pm on March 2. Already more than 500 people have vowed to attend the march."

Perhaps the Manchester Evening News failed to see the thousands who promised to turn up outside Wandsworth Prison and got excited. To add to the confusion, the organisers of the Manchester demonstration are telling everyone that it is not actually an EDL demo anymore, but instead it is a "Northern Alliance" demonstration. Either way, poor form by the paper to be honest.

One for Diane: Did she think this was the Royal Marines band?

One for Diane: Did she think this was the Royal Marines band?

Carroll: Yeah but no, but. I am the leader.

Carroll: Yeah but no, but. I am the leader.

Weston: He had a jolly good time

Weston: He had a jolly good time

As we predicted at the end of last year (if you were able to read between the lines) Paul Weston has stood down as leader of the British Freedom Party. It has been on the cards for some time according to sources in the party frustrated by his behaviour.

Weston is standing down according to himself, because he is writing a book. One supposes it is a safer bet waiting for Weston to write something rather than waiting for Stephen Lennon, the incarcerated EDL leader who uses the name Tommy Robinson, to produce his own version of Mein Kampf.

By all accounts, Weston's book will be available to anyone who is proficient with crayons and does not mix their colours when filling it in.

Weston told the BFP's website "I am writing a book about the current dire state of Britain, which is going to take up the majority of my time over the coming months, and I feel it would be better for British Freedom to be led by someone who can devote more time to the party."

In accordance with that wish, EDL deputy leader Kevin Carroll will take over for some reason.

The political world is not in turmoil, surprisingly, though a few jugs of Pimm's are probably being quaffed in west London for the hell of it.

Weston has been desperate to vacate the position since it became apparent that the BFP was not going to perform as well as he had hoped. Weston was under the illusion that EDL members would flock to the party and it would overtake the BNP as the main force on the far-right.

Not only did it not, leading the tiny party exposed Weston to all kinds of scrutiny and questions were raised not just about his political competency but also whether he had the "bottle" to mix it with the street thugs he hoped he could lead.

After the EDL's humiliation in Walthamstow last year, many pointed to Weston's performance on the day as he dithered and wiltered under the pressure.

Neither could he rise (as Lennon had hoped) to the on-going tussle with BNP leader Nick Griffin. If there is one thing Griffin can do, it is beat rivals into submission. As Griffin poured scorn on the EDL and the BFP Weston did nothing to return fire and Lennon, leader of the EDL and the supposed deputy leader of the BFP, quit the party in disgust.

Now Weston has fallen on the sword that has slept by his side all along.

We'll miss him. His escapades and political expertise are legendary. At least the BFP is in the safe hands of Carroll.

8 ways naughty Nick Griffin plans to empty your pockets

posted by: Matthew Collins | on: Wednesday, 2 January 2013, 14:52

Griffin: waiting to receive your cash NOW!

Griffin: waiting to receive your cash NOW!

Not a great deal happening in the far-right this early in the year, but I was struck by one tweet from Nick Griffin over New Year about "8 New Year's resolutions" that I thought I should have a look at in greater detail.

Not for Nasty Nick being kind to animals, gay people or the Irish, or indeed laying off the chicken korma in 2013. It seems that the racist pig farmer wants 2013 to be pretty much the same as every other year he has run the BNP: with you sending his party your money.

No less than seven of Griffin's suggested (for you) New Year's resolutions involve sending the BNP your money and the other one (number seven) suggests sending them someone else's money!

Nick's nasty list is called "Doing something very special":

1) 'Reaffirming your loyalty': If watching the BNP getting hammered in 2012 didn't put you off, nothing will. Send them your cash and they'll do it again in 2013. It's one of those rare promises this politician will keep.

2) 'Join The British Resistance': If watching the BNP getting hammered in 2012 didn't put you off joining, then why didn't you join? Send them your money.

3) 'Set Up A Direct Debit': Don't send the BNP your money you lazy racist, get the bloody banks to take it out of your account for you. Plus, if you get downhearted watching the BNP getting hammered in 2013, it can be a real pain in the behind to cancel it. If you're a lazy racist, obviously.

4) 'Subscribe to 'Voice of Freedom': If the Daily Mail is unavailable, why not get the BNP's monthly newspaper instead? Sadly, it only comes out about four times in a year, but a month is a long time in politics.

5) 'Trafalgar Club': If you own a tie, and you're not due in court on the day, join Nick Griffin's special fan club where he and his wife Jackie will sit at your dinner table for a few minutes to try and persuade you to hand over some of your lucre. You'll feel special, as it is a "secret" group of Griffin fans that those rotters at Hope Not Hate exposed last year, costing Nick some of his wealthier admirers.

6) 'Donate Today': And there'll be free beer tomorrow, probably. Send them your cash. Today. Yesterday would have been a waste of time, but do it today. And tomorrow, obviously. In fact, send them all your money and get a second job while you're at it. History dictates that you won't regret it. Much.

7) 'Sign Up A Friend': If you're already a BNP member, you may be surprised to still have any friends. Why not sign one of them up? Go on, who needs friends like you anyway? "Just imagine" writes Griffin, "we could double our membership". He's not wrong, 1+1 does add up to two. If you do not have a friend, just make one up. In fact, make up lots of friends and get them to join the BNP. Not your black friends, obviously.

8) 'Get Active': Activism is actually free. Any racist idiot can pick up a brick or an old pot of paint. Hate is free with the BNP. Of course, if you really want to get active in the BNP, it suggests you buy some of their leaflets: "Just doing your bit is enough to give you the satisfaction that you are helping the cause".

And hey, if you've signed up the silly sausage as suggested at number 7, Nick suggests that you "simply deliver leaflets to your neighbours". It's £2 for fifty leaflets, but a housebrick followed by some racist abuse is also another way many BNP members like to introduce themselves to their neighbours.
