That didn't go too well

Their walk across London has come to a sudden halt, with the pair being arrested for obstructing the police.

Earlier they posted photos of important landmarks they called in at on their journey, such as a McDonalds restaurant.

But as the pair entered into East London they found themselves under arrest at Aldgate East tube station for breaking the conditions of their walk.

EDL told they're not welcome

Plans by the EDL to hold a meeting tonight in Hemel Hempstead have come unstuck after the pub told the EDL they were not welcome.

The 'Top Of The World' pub was due to host EDL leader Stephen Lennon and a gang of other EDL thugs to discuss this weekend's planned march in London, but when tipped off by antifascists as to who was behind the booking, the pub's management have informed the EDL leader that he, and his gang are "not welcome here".

Burnley-a far-right wash out

posted by: Matthew Collins | on: Saturday, 22 June 2013, 14:30

Burnley: It rained

Burnley: It rained

144 people joined the "North West Front Line Firm" today for a march and rally in Burnley.

A huge police presence was wasted on a drab turn out that was marched around the outskirts of town in the poring rain to listen to speeches from people bussed in from as far away as Essex.

The "NWFFF" is a coalition of people who are no longer in or welcome in the EDL anymore.

The only interesting thing to happen all day was someone spotting Mark Cotterill at the demo site. Cotterill used to be the BNP's fundraiuser in the United States, a well-to-do fascist who was even married for a while to the daughter of David Duke, Nick Griffin's favourite Klansman.

Cotterill, now living in Preston, was selling pin badges for £2 each.

Nice.

The gang are now heading to Blackburn for a party in the Adelphi. Expect that to be a ball of fun.

It's not looking like a huge demonstration/march so far for the far-right in Burnley today.

Between 30-50 of them are held up in their allocated pub while approximately 30 people have joined a counter demo.

The police may well move the march along the outskirts of the town to avoid too much disruption. Still, there's an hour to go.

EDL Man Jailed For Attempted Mosque Arson

posted by: Hope Not Hate | on: Friday, 21 June 2013, 12:42

John Parkin

John Parkin

An EDL activist has been jailed after attempting to set fire to a Rhyl mosque following the murder of soldier Lee Rigby.

John Parkin, from Towyn, North Wales was jailed for 18 months at Mold Crown Court after he admitted threatening to burn down the mosque and a charge of religiously aggravated disorderly behaviour in May.

The would be arsonist was also handed an indefinite criminal anti-social behaviour order banning him from every mosque in the country.

This isn't the first time Parkin has threatened the Muslim community in Rhyl. In January 2012 Parkin was found guilty after he threatened to blow up a mosque in the town.

Parkin was jailed for 10 months for being in breach of an earlier suspended sentence, and two charges of religiously aggravated public order offences .

He was reported to the police after one witness overheard him say "I have got guns. I want to shoot Muslims in the head." He also spoke about blowing up the local mosque.

After his arrest he told police "Muslims are taking over the country. They need to go back to their own country."

He later told police: "I am a racist. I hate Muslims", adding that he was a member of the English Defence League.

The offences put him in breach of a 52 week suspended sentence, which he received following an attack on his then partner.

Parkin was also a member of The Combined Ex Forces (CXF) an EDL splinter group and told anyone who was prepared to listen that he was an ex serviceman who had served in Bosnia and Iraq. But, in reality Parkin had never left the country or seen active service after he was thrown out of the army in disgrace after an incident with drugs.

Allegro (navy shirt) marching just in front of Prodromou (in yellow) in Brighton this year

News in this morning of another EDL thug convicted for attacking an innocent person.

Salvatore Allegro is the man convicted of the assault. He is good friends it seems with South East Alliance (SEA) leader and former EDL Essex leader, Paul Prodromou.

The two of them marched together and issued threats to people in Brighton recently, when the "March for England" project was driven out of town, once more, by locals who object to racism and fascism.

Prodromou has changed his name to the more Anglo-sounding "Pitt" when he is on activities with his fascist friends. Salvatore, apparently, sees no reason to.

People with names like Prodromou and Allegro are often bounded about by the EDL and their fellow travellers as proof that the EDL & co are not racist. Is it actually not more of a case that the "assimilation" that the EDL and friends keep demanding of people, is actually a further code word for being as racist and as thuggish the rest of them?

Shane Calvert: Fashion icon and leader of the Infidels

The "North West Front Line Firm" are heading to Burnley this Saturday to, in their words, "stop the Islamification of Britain."

What with the recent re-emergence of the EDL and in particular it's leader Stephen Lennon, the various satellite groups that sprung from the EDL when it was in free-fall are now, themselves, fighting for survival.

Expect to see the same old faces as you always do, drunken thugs, who will stand for hours in and outsidde of a pub shouting and chanting racist abuse and then fighting among themselves afterwards.

Now in its fourth year, the counter-Jihad street movement has achieved absolutely none of its original aims, but a couple of individuals have put a few quid in their pockets' at least. In the main, that seems to be what lies behind most of these groups anyway; the sale of second-rate merchandise and a grubby understanding of hedonism.

The same group behind this demonstration are the same people that went to Ashton Under Lyne last weekend, where four of their supporters were arrested. It could have been more, perhaps it should have been.

The North East Infidels have pledged their support along with Casuals United and other, tiny groups of fascists to the demonstration.

The North West Infidels, one of the more active groups on the extreme right are the main driving force behind this demonstration. Six of their number are currently on bail while another half a dozen were raided by the police in the wake of the murder of Drummer Lee Rigby.

Sheffield: Just When We Thought It Was All Over

Martin Addy: Castleford EDL

Martin Addy: Castleford EDL

Just when we thought it had all come to an end, the EDL never fail to let us down with a display of unadulterated drunken violence.

The police initially moved the EDL away from The Swim Inn and down Victoria Street.

Violence soon broke out with the EDL attempting to attack the police lines. So far two arrests have been made.

Bottles and missiles were thrown at the police, with one of the bottles hitting one of their own protestors, Martin Addy from Castleford.

Addy received a nasty cut to the head at the hands of his own and unfortunatley for him local paramedics could not reach him because of the imposed road closures.Luckily, a local couple gave him much needed first aid as his EDL mates had abandoned him.

The police seem to have lost control somewhat with the EDL now heading down West Street towards the city centre.

Let's not forget, this was supposed to be a show of respect by the EDL for the murdered soldier Lee Rigby, it seems the EDL just can't help themselves when it comes to violence.

Lincoln: Racists Blocked By Police

posted by: Simon Cressy | on: Saturday, 8 June 2013, 14:17

In Lincoln Anti mosque protestors initially gathered in the George and Dragon pub with a large group of counter protestors gathering in the Cornhill area.

The racists then moved to City Square with a couple of the yobs approaching the counter protestors looking for trouble.

Chants of 'burn the mosque' and 'who the f**k is Allah' broke out amongst the crowd, however, they weren't to go unchallenged. One brave elderly lady confronted the protestors calling them 'disgusting'.

Members of the march then left City Square and attempted to march to the proposed site of the mosque on Boultham Park Road but police blocked them.

Some of the protest speakers addressed the crowd. One said "The reason we don't want a mosque is that we don't want Islam in this county". Another speaker was a serving soldier.

One speaker known as 'Wolfie' said: "Muslims want to take over the world, they want world domination.Another speaker said: "Make no mistake, we can change things, next time there won't be hundreds, there will be thousands.I'm telling the council to take this as a warning as we will bring this town to a standstill."

Sheffield: Was That it ?

posted by: Simon Cressy | on: Saturday, 8 June 2013, 13:58

Well despite all the bluster the EDL "event" appears to be over.

EDL leader Stephen Lennon aka Tommy Robinson is claiming over 1000 turned out for the EDL, however, people in Sheffield are telling us that there are less than 500.

The EDL walked to the Cenotaph, disgraced the area for five minutes and then returned to what they do best, getting drunk in the various pubs.

The heavy police presence are only letting shoppers through into the Barkers Pool area, stopping anyone who the believe looks like an EDL supporter.

Some of the EDL are currently kettled in the Victoria Street area at the top of West Street.

All in all, it was a pretty pointless exercise by the EDL, huge police presence at a massive cost to the public with local trade damaged for the second weekend running.

Well done Tommy you plank !

George Crapper

George Crapper

Things are starting to happen in Sheffield.

Numbers are debatable, but there appear to be around 500 EDL in the city centre with large numbers of police in position around Barkers Pool with plenty more in reserve down the various side streets.

The EDL contingent have marched towards the Cenotaph and then have changed direction up towards the shopping area on Division Street which leads onto Barkers Pool.

Counter protestors are now venturing towards the Cenotaph with the intention of reclaiming the area.

Spotted with the EDL mob is Sheffield's resident BNP idiot George Crapper, complete with his homemade "Nationalist Security" body warmer.

While we have our eye on Sheffield we are also monitring several other protests being held around the country.

One of them is an anti Mosque protest in Lincoln, which has been organised by the East Anglian Patriots, which in reality is the EDL.

There is a heavy police presence in the city with a large number of police at the railway station.

Small pockets of protesters roam the city chanting "No More Mosques" while a group of counter protestors gather at speakers corner.

Police have asked local cafes and bars to remove any furniture from outside in case any trouble erupts.

Let's hope it doesn't

With the EDL returning to Sheffield today, South Yorkshire police are taking now chances when it comes to protecting the city centre.

Steel barriers have been erected to preserve the cenotaph on Barkers Pool and all the adjacent side roads have been blocked off.

The EDL appear to be congregating in the Banker's Draft pub, there are approximately 100 of them so far. Liverpool division have just arrived to bolster the numbers.

Also in the pub is EDL leader Tommy Robinson aka Stephen Lennon. So far the police presence at the pub is non existent.

Is this the man police should talk to re: SalmaYaqoob threat?

posted by: Matthew Collins | on: Friday, 7 June 2013, 13:03

"Littlejohn": Do you know him?

"Littlejohn": Do you know him?

Salma Yaqoob, the former leader of the Respect Party and current spokesperson for Birmingham Central Mosque, was a guest on last night's Question Time.

Salma was quite happy with how the appearance went, apart from a threat from somebody to cut her throat.

The threat was one of a series of quite disturbing threats made against Salma and the Muslim community eminating from a character (unsurprisingly) linked to the EDL and its satellite groups.

The threat to cut Salma's throat was made by one Steve Littejohn, believed to be from the Merseyside area. Littlejohn also wrote that he would "quite happily walk into a Brum [Birmingham] mosque and plant a nail bomb".

One would think that the police would be quite keen to talk someone making those sort of threats against Salma and the Muslim community in general.

That being the case, perhaps they might recognise the person identified by our colleagues at EDL News as the person believed to be using the name Steve Littlejohn to post threats like those shown with this story against Salma and other Muslims.

Let's see if the police can find and either charge this "Steve Littlejohn" or eliminate him from their investigation quicker than the EDL can attempt to disown him or deny all knowledge of him.

Update: This matter is now in the hands of the police so we have obscured certain details

A lot is currently being said about the alleged arson at a Muslim centre in Muswell Hill in North London. Our own statement on the issue can be read here

What is unsettling is just how many EDL supporters made threats to carry out attacks on Muslim places of worship in the immediate aftermath of the murder of Drummer Lee Rigby in Woolwich, two weeks ago.

Last night, so soon after the alleged arson in Muswell Hill, the EDL's chief in Newcastle, Alan Spence, once also a senior activist in the BNP, decided it was the right and appropriate time to highlight Mosques in Newcastle and Tyne and Wear for his followers.

Bad timing? Or just bad taste?

Imrie (left): Frustrated sex tourist and gunman it would seem

We never have anything nice to write about the BNP's Thomas Imrie. Imrie is apparently Nick Griffin's most trusted confidant in Scotland. He's also a sex tourist who likes to go to Thailand, and despite his membership and associations with a number of racist organisations, pays for sex with Thai women.

On Sunday the BNP sent out another begging email, surprisingly this time, asking for members as well as funds. That they needed new members must have struck them sometime on Saturday afternoon, when only 133 BNP members and supporters bothered to travel to London to listen to Nick Griffin.

In response to the BNP's email, which unsurprisingly banged on and on about a conspiracy between Muslims and others to deny the BNP a race war, Imrie, (who also like to be known as "Choo-Choo" by all accounts,) decided that the best way for the far-right to respond to their ever decreasing fortunes is to drive around in cars with "sniper crews.. to pick off the lefties and show them what violence is about."

The BNP does seem to have a rather selective view of terrorists judging by this flag of the Ulster Volunteer Force that was on their tiny demonstration.

I guess the days of the BNP trying to kid the Irish community in the UK that "Paddy bashing" is a thing of the BNP's past, are well and truly over.

Griffin's day ends in disaster

Waiting: Angry BNP supporters wait for their leader to save them

Waiting: Angry BNP supporters wait for their leader to save them

Held on Lambeth Bridge for an hour and hurried out of Whitehall before he could desecrate the nation's war memorial, BNP leader Nick Griffin's plans for for a major London march and demonstration by the BNP today ended in disaster.

On Thursday night, as his plans for a march in Woolwich came crashing down around him, Griffin had turned to his arch nemesis Stephen Lennon, leader of the rival English Defence League (EDL), for help.

Unsurprisingly, the EDL leader rebuffed him. Since the murder of Drummer Lee Rigby, there has been a desperate race by the two competing group's to cash in on the tragedy. Today, the EDL declared themselves the winners.

133 BNP supporters and members- thousands less than Griffin had promised them, waited for two hours under a hail of abuse and even women dressed as badgers until Griffin could show his face.

Griffin spoke of Kung-fu Muslims, "reds" and a host of bizarre other things until the point when the Metropolitan Police pulled the plug on him shortly before 1600hrs. He was not even allowed to lay his tatty wreath at the war memorial. His supporters were furious with him for making them wait. Among his biggest detractors was the BNP's under-fire National Organiser, Adam Walker.

Griffin knew deep down that this humiliation was coming. Everybody did.

Tonight the BNP are licking their wounds at a cheap buffet in a pub in south London. Griffin, unsurprisingly, reserved his most bitter hatred for the EDL leader Stephen Lennon, who abandoned Griffin after suffering year's of abuse from the BNP chief. This afternoon the BNP re-hashed their Jewish conspiracy theories about the EDL and no doubt, the rest of the world

The horror of their day will last for a lot longer.
