Earlier this week BNP leader Nick Griffin tried to outwit his internal opponents when he announced that the long overdue EGM to discuss constitutional changes was to be held on Sunday 26 June.
Of course Griffin is already bending the rules as the changes he is proposing will allow him to remain in office for a fixed five-year term and have little relationship to the issues that brought about the call for an EGM in the first place.
For the 26 June date to be met, notices will have to arrive with every BNP member today. Will Griffin honour his promise of a meeting? We shall know in the next few hours.
