War veterans have blasted the BNP as "disgusting" for exploiting their heroics in an attempt to win votes.
The right-wing party is using images of the RAF's fight against the Luftwaffe in a European campaign it calls the "Battle for Britain".
Wing Commander Bob Foster, 88, of the 100-strong Battle of Britain Fighter Association, said: "This really is quite disgusting.
"We risked our lives fighting Nazism and these people are using us. It's not the sort of Britain we went to fight for."
The BNP are able to use the Second World War shots because copyright on the RAF's distinctive "target" symbol has lapsed.
Veterans minister Kevan Jones called the BNP ads "deeply offensive".
