A former British National Party member has admitted harassing his ex-partner.
Peter King, 40, pleaded guilty to putting Cheryl Dunn in fear of violence by sending her numerous texts and making several calls to her mobile telephone.
Teesside Crown Court heard the text messages sent on October 7 last year contained threats of violence.
Sentencing was adjourned for reports to be prepared, but King was warned all options would be considered.
Recorder Stuart Brown said: "I suspect you know this is a serious matter and the court will be looking at all the options."
Miss Dunn attended court with King, and the court heard she will not be asking for restraining order.
King, of Bluebell Way, Hartlepool, was granted bail and will return to the crown court to be sentenced on May 18.
