Camborne’s UKIP's Rosie Ward resurfaces in Brussels

posted by: Simon Cressy | on: Tuesday, 6 October 2015, 09:20

Rosie Ward a UKIP and YI member from Cornwall last graced these pages when she was caught boasting of a “fantastic” marijuana party on facebook in 2014. Ward was made chairman of the far-right party’s Camborne branch, becoming their youngest ever chairman, a disastrous stint that lasted just weeks and included an investigation into her links to the BNP via (now Liberty GB’s) Jack Buckby’s ‘Culturalism’ blog, which she wrote for in 2013.

We can now reveal that despite concerns about these links Ward, now 18, has been found of good enough standing to be employed by UKIP’s EU parliament group, the EFDD. Her role remains unclear, however, funding for the group comes exclusively from the European taxpayer. The group is cobbled together from an assortment of hard-right fringe parties from across Europe. After it almost collapsed in 2014 it was saved, along with UKIP’s lucrative funding, by bringing holocaust denying MEP, Robert Iwaszkiewicz of Poland into the group.
