The spate of anti-migrant protests around the country, including the recent violent demonstration in Knowsley, have shown us where consistent anti-migrant rhetoric and lack of support for refugees can lead. It’s clear that the Government must act to protect refugees and migrants and take responsibility for their inflammatory language that fuels the far-right.
