In May 2026, local and national elections will take place across England, Wales and Scotland.
Reform UK are campaigning hard to turn anger, attention and visibility into local power. They are testing where they can break through, build momentum and go unchallenged. But their success isn’t inevitable.
Most people in the UK believe in fairness, decency and looking out for one another. That’s what our research shows.
And when people organise locally, talk to their neighbours and make voting visible, we can stop Reform from gaining ground.

Across the UK, local volunteers are organising now to make sure people know there’s an election coming up, understand what’s at stake, and feel motivated to turn out and vote.

In October, thousands of people across the UK took part in the Weekend of HOPE. It showed what’s possible when people organise locally.

Vote HOPE 2026 builds on that same approach, focused on turnout, local organising and stopping Reform from gaining ground where it matters most. It wasn’t about slogans or grand gestures. It was ordinary people taking simple action together and showing that hate doesn’t speak for their communities.

Vote HOPE 2026 is a local organising effort to stop Reform UK from winning power in the May 2026 local elections. It focuses on simple, community-based actions that increase turnout and challenge Reform’s message where it matters most.
Vote HOPE is not affiliated with any political party. We organise to oppose hate and division, and to encourage participation in local democracy.
Hosting a session means acting as a local organiser for a leafleting event.
You’ll:
– Choose a day, time, and meeting location.
– Recruit volunteers (don’t worry if you don’t have a wider network, we can also invite other HOPE not hate supporters in your area).
– Receive a delivery of leaflets from us.
– Plan delivery routes using our maps.
– Welcome volunteers on the day, hand out materials, and ensure the session runs smoothly.
Hosting a session is a hands-on way to help push back against Reform in your community. You won’t be alone; if you sign up as a host, you’ll receive full support and guidance from a HOPE not hate organiser.
Local elections are often decided by small numbers of people turning out. Leafleting is one of the most effective ways to make elections visible, remind people to vote, and counter one-sided messaging.
