Well, size isn’t everything, so don’t be too hard on the 85 white supremacists in Newcastle today.
They came from far and wide to stand under new banners and spout the same old rubbish. The master race has never been very bright or attractive, so before the march even started two senior figures in the National Front were arrested.
For one of them, Simon Biggs, it is his first arrest since getting locked up for stealing a pot plant from B&Q a couple of years ago.
The organisers of the march, National Action, had promised to prove they were the main show in town for the British Nazi scene. In the main, it was a bunch of teenage boys clad in black promising they were going to rid the country of Jews to the drunken approval of fat old white men.
There were no surprises when Garron Helm was arrested again. He’s probably sat in his cell as we speak writing another pointless apology/love letter. Other than racism, it’s what he does best.
Aside from the stupidity of these people, there is a concern about some of the language and the threats they were issuing with regard to in particular, the Jewish and Muslim communities. It does not take a lot of Nazi idiots to be a vicious and disturbing nuisance and cause for concern.
After their rally, many returned to Newcastle city centre where there was some kind of fall out between a foreign contingent which ended with beer glasses being thrust in faces.
