Community resilience refers to a community’s ability to respond to and overcome far-right agitation.
A core part of the HOPE not hate mission is supporting communities to proactively address the underlying conditions that make certain communities more susceptible to far-right messaging in the first place.
This supports communities to reject hateful narratives peddled by far-right actors before they take hold, prevent tensions from spilling over, and protect against further division. Crucially, this work is long term, proactive and preventative.
