Founder of Students Against Tyranny, James Harvey has dedicated much time to fighting “wokeness” on university campuses. However, he is also a familiar face across the broader anti-migrant movement, a regular at Stephen Lennon’s demonstrations and extremely active online. Harvey is also closely associated with Voice of Wales.

In 2025, Harvey became a leading figure at anti-migrant protests in Norwich. In July, he was arrested and charged with a racially aggravated public order offence. This was after referring to asylum seekers at the Park hotel in Diss as “foreign filth”.

Despite his bail conditions preventing him from being fully involved, Harvey remained active online and attended marches by both Britain First and UKIP throughout the year.
