In a selection of screen recordings sent to HOPE not hate anonymously last week, we can reveal that Daniel Thomas, AKA ‘Danny Tommo’ and Raise The Colours co-founder Ryan Bridge swapped threatening messages during Thomas’ split from the organisation.
Thomas also admitted to taking steroids and expressed doubt over his relationship with Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, AKA ‘Tommy Robinson’. We explore the story behind the fall out and the subsequent violent messages.
[Tommy]’ll laugh. I know him. He’s agreed to all that I’ve said, he said fair enough, because he’s a loose cannon. And I’d fucking tell him, he’s a liability, he knows it. I’ve told him much worse.

Salaries, Steroids and Moving Away from Tommy Robinson
It all started with a phone, and a simple grammatical difference.
On the first of January 2026, after a series of visits to Calais, Thomas and Bridge appeared online claiming that they were in possession of a phone which had previously belonged to an asylum seeker. Found on the beaches, they claimed that the phone contained photos of young girls, and Thomas continued to post about the phone and its contents over the following weeks.
The voice notes we were sent suggest that Thomas was confronted by RTC for using the term ‘I’ rather than ‘we’ in reference to finding the device in a video. This small difference escalated into further confrontation over Thomas’ salary, or lack thereof. He said:
“If we’re a team, offer me a salary, offer me some money”
“Put an offer on the table mate, at the minute there’s nothing there. What do I do? How do I pay my rent?”
“I don’t need anyone ringing me up or messaging me saying ‘Danny you’ve put a YouTube video out there that’s absolutely smashed it, they’re going to think it’s absolutely brilliant, but you said the word I and not RTC’. Don’t need that, don’t want to hear it again.”
Daniel Thomas
He emphasised the opportunities he had allegedly offered RTC, including giving them a YouTube channel with almost 130,000 subscribers and rebranding it as Raise the Colours. Thomas even goes so far as to offer to:
“Move away from Tommy (Robinson), which at this point I believe is the right choice. That’s no disrespect to him, I love him to bits, but he’s not right for this.”
Daniel Thomas
Thomas has previously been on holiday with Lennon, and has recently appeared in livestreams with him to promote Lennon’s upcoming rally. It is unclear what exactly he feels Lennon isn’t right for, but the grievances surrounding his salary soon turns to Tommo trying to prove his worth to Bridge’s cause.
He becomes more erratic and, while attempting to emphasise how prepared he is to work hard for the cause, admits to taking steroids. His voice message to Bridge reads:
“I’m about to walk into the gym, smashing it. I’ve taken my roids, I’ve taken my proteins, and I’m fucking ready to go.”

Threats of violence
There is an interlude between the voice notes during which their disagreements seem to have escalated, but the details are vague as this period was not recorded. However, what we do know is that it culminated in Bridge publicly posting a video announcing that the two had parted ways as business partners. The next screen recording shows Bridge sent Thomas the following threat:
“Listen… I’ve got what you said about Tommy, and I’ve got the picture message. Do you want me to send you that, what you said about Tommy? I’ll ruin you mate. Don’t fucking test me. You wanna meet me? I’ll meet ya, any time, any place, anywhere…”
Ryan Bridge
The tone suggests that Danny must have confronted him over the video about their split, but this does not appear in the messages. He goes on, threatening to “get the tommy files”. Predictably, this sends Thomas over the edge. What follows is a series of thoroughly unhinged messages, with Thomas cackling like a madman:
“I was gonna say to you, if you remove those posts about me, I won’t do the video putting things straight. But you just threatened me… Do you think I care about any of them (sic) messages? I will send them to him (Tommy) myself.”
Daniel Thomas
Thomas threatens to save the recordings of their conversation and publish them online, claiming that Bridge had threatened his and his family’s life. He continues to argue that Bridge should remove the post due to the questions now being asked of him. Following a message reading “it’s still there Ryan”, Thomas sends a particularly disturbing voice note where he simply slowly repeats the phrase ‘tick-fucking-tock’.
“I said never go public. Now, you’ve fucking turned me.”
Daniel Thomas
He returns to the subject of the messages about Tommy Robinson which Bridge threatens to leak:
“I’d tell Tommy, I’d forward it to Tommy. I’d say ‘listen’, I’ve told him straight, ‘you’re a liability, I wanna do it properly’. You don’t think I would say that to him?”
Daniel Thomas
Thomas becomes more aggressive, his performative psychopathy shining:
“You stupid cunt. And now, I’m going to have to go to town on you. Going to have to go to fucking town on you Ryan because you threatened me.”
“I’m mad man, I’m a fucking loose cannon you silly cunt. I run into groups of Muslims and fucking go for it. Do you think I give a fuck? Because I don’t.”
“It does not fucking work with someone who is mentally unstable and doesn’t give a fuck… You can tell how fucking unhinged I am right now.”
Daniel Thomas
In the end, Thomas becomes even more visceral in the violence he is willing to commit:
“Are you going to come knock at my door? While my kids sleep?… Have I got to sleep with a knife under my pillow now? Stab you in the fucking eye… What have I got to do Ryan?”
Daniel Thomas
Thomas and Bridge have now gone their separate ways. Having both been banned from France, Bridge has focussed his efforts into RTC’s presence in the UK, while Thomas has persisted with French-focussed activism.
Over the past month, Thomas took donations for a boat, supposedly in order to deploy it into the channel and intercept small boat crossings. Said campaign is yet to materialise, leaving followers wondering if they have simply bought Daniel Thomas a boat.
More recently, Thomas attempted to recreate his French activism, sneaking across the border through Belgium. However, his publicity foiled his plans, as Belgian police were able to locate him through his livestreams. He was arrested, his hotel room searched, and sent packing back to England. Upon reaching Heathrow, he was detained under Section 7 of the Terrorism Act and searched; he has since been released.
Power Struggles
The relationship between Thomas and Bridge is an archetypal example of far-right infighting: two men with violent histories coming to blows over their influence on the movement, while criticising those who they claim are their friends publicly.
Ryan Bridge is a renowned football hooligan who admitted during an interview that he received a three-year ban due to football violence; in the same interview, he repeats how much he enjoyed the thrill of team brawls.
Thomas on the other hand spent time in prison for his part in an attempted kidnapping in which a man was forcibly removed from his home at knifepoint. His reputation as a hot-headed activist precedes him, making him controversial even amongst his far-right peers.
If Thomas is right about one thing, it’s that Bridge truly thinks of himself as a Birmingham hard-man, who has thrown his weight around considerably despite being on the scene for less than a year. On the other hand, Bridge’s greenness to the movement meant he trusted Thomas in a way others know not to, and has learned the hard way why most people avoid working with him.
A partnership between two egotistical leaders with violent histories and hard-man personas to protect was never going to end well. As with many far-right groups, they imploded due to infighting over credit, finance and tactics.
While that duo has died, only time will tell whether Thomas’ only remaining partner in the movement, Tommy Robinson, will continue to trust him.
