Gavin Boby, a planning lawyer and self-proclaimed “mosque buster”, founded The Law and Freedom Foundation to prevent planning applications for mosques.

At time of writing, Boby’s website claims that he has won 69 out of the 112 mosque cases he has taken on. His involvement usually amounts to advising local people on tactics to oppose planning permission or change of use of a building into a place of worship.

Boby also runs a small YouTube channel where he updates supporters on the progress of his campaigns, as well as discussing a range of issues including cross-Channel migration, grooming gangs and demographic changes within the UK.

Throughout 2024, Boby became a vocal advocate of “remigration”, a far-right euphemism for repatriation of migrants. Additionally, he has expressed support for the fascist Homeland Party and Steve Laws, the extreme fascist influencer who now heads the pressure group Remigration Now. 

In 2025, Boby maintained a social media presence, discussing his “mosque busting” cases and promoting anti-migrant content. He also appeared on a number of extremist online shows, including Lotus Eaters, Unity News Network and American Renaissance, on which he was interviewed by the infamous white nationalist Jared Taylor. He also weighed in on debates about ethnonationalism in early 2026, going so far as to describe Steve Laws’ plan for ethnic cleansing as “moderate”.
