The Greater Manchester Patriots (GMP) is one of the more active groups in the PP network. It is led by Alex Robinson and Dec Lea, who have appeared at several local anti-migrant protests. The pair have also filmed themselves trespassing inside HMOs in Droylsden, knocking on residents’ doors and running vigilante-styled night patrols with the Bolton Patriots.
Members of the GMP are known to have attended PP events in Dover, London and Basingstoke. In October, Alex Robinson led a North West Patriots meet up, delivering a speech in a balaclava. He later planned a Halloween march in Manchester, aiming to take the group through areas of the city with a high Muslim population; police cancelled the event and banned Robinson from Manchester city centre on the 31st October.
Meanwhile, Lea has taken multiple trips to Calais to film asylum seekers waiting to cross the channel. On several occasions, Lea attempted to intercept boats, in scenes reminiscent of the activity of Thomas and Raise the Colours from November 2025 to January 2026. On the 30th October, Lea and four other activists were arrested in France after they were found carrying tear gas, a baton and pepper spray in their so-called ‘Battle Bus’. He and the rest of the group received a six month ban from Northern France and were each ordered to pay €500 to migrant victims support organisations.
Another member of the Greater Manchester Patriots, Daniel Wheatley (AKA bigbaldbeardedbastard), has liked several posts on instagram from Britain’s largest neo-Nazi group, the White Vanguard. This included one video where WV members hold up a banner displaying the ‘14 words’, a renowned white supremacist slogan.
