Hold on to Hope flowers

The “Hold on to Hope” campaign aims to transform the current climate of pessimism into a movement of hope and community action. We invite everyone to join us in fostering positive change and addressing the challenges our country faces. Together, we can ensure that hope triumphs over hate and build a better future for all.

Following on from the recent tragic events in Southport, communities across the UK have endured the violence and hatred of the far right in their towns and cities. But, amidst this turmoil, there is shining examples of unity and resilience that give us hope.

People from all walks of life took to the streets in Sunderland, not with bricks and masks, but with brushes and cleaning equipment, determined to restore their community and reject hate. Similarly, in Southport, locals banded together to repair damage, and young girls made friendship bracelets to raise funds for the victims of Monday’s attack.

We are at a crossroads. We can either hold our communities together or risk falling apart along racial and religious lines. We can stand together in unity or risk losing the progress made by generations who bravely battled against prejudice, hatred, and discrimination before us.

We need individuals who believe in the power of community and are willing to stand against division and intolerance. We are putting together plans to bring hope to communities, but we can’t do it alone. Will you join us and help build hopeful actions in your community?
