PP claims to protect women and children by restoring law and order to the UK. However, the Preston Patriots’ Lewis Howarth has previous convictions for being drunk and disorderly, affray, racially-aggravated harassment, assaulting a police officer and failing to comply with court orders. The Manchester Evening News described how, in 2024, he was physically pulled off a Jet2 flight to Turkey after drunkenly abusing staff. He verbally abused an air stewardess, repeatedly swore at other passengers, and physically fought the officers escorting him off the flight, calling them “little rats”. Other passengers cheered as he was hauled away.
The Preston Patriots have also contributed their fair share of disinformation, posting footage of a man in a park captioned “The locals chasing another monster out of a local park‼️‼️ Police protecting them as usual😡”. This was posted months after the man in the video was determined to be Quoroum Beg, a Glaswegian who had been in the park with his young children. Beg has since launched a fundraiser to take Stephen Lennon to court, after Lennon posted the same footage to his followers on X labelling him an “invader”.
