BNP chairman Nick Griffin isn’t very happy, in fact it could be said he is a little bit peeved with Hope not Hate and in particular my colleague Matthew Collins.
Matthew spoke to the Oxford Union to discuss the fact that they had invited Griffin to take part in a debate over gay parents.
As we have already explained The Oxford Union have said the Griffin invite was a mistake and instantly withdrew the invite, thanking Hope not Hate and Matthew for letting them know.
Griffin has now been informed and on his Twitter account wrote ” Oxford Union debating society having surrendered to leftist threats & rescinded my debate invitation, now ‘commends the work’ of left thugs. ”
We would just like to point out that unlike Nick Griffin, Matthew has a clean criminal record with no convictions.
And unlike Griffin, Matthew stopped being a fascist many years ago, whereas Nick Griffin carried on, making a 30 year career out of it.
You can read Matthew Collins exploits in his book “Hate, My Life in the British Far Right” here.
