Last weekend, Rupert Lowe MP, leader of Restore Britain, called on “the establishment” to stop referring to his party as “somehow ‘nazi’”.
Unfortunately for Lowe, who has previously denounced “far right ethnonationalist or neo-Nazism”, extremists are rife within his party. HOPE not hate has repeatedly exposed neo-Nazis, fascists and ethnonationalists within Restore, attracted by its authoritarian, ethnonationalist leanings and promise to deport “millions”.
While Restore has little control over who signs up, it can – and should – take the problem seriously and expel them once exposed. However, the leadership steadfastly refuses to “police the membership”, as they put it, and in one notable case publicly intervened to protect a Hitler-saluting fascist from expulsion. This has emboldened ideological racists of all stripes within the party.
Below are just a few of the extremists to have attended official party meetings or campaigned for Restore – some of whom have been snapped with Lowe himself.
Jamie Waters is involved in the neo-Nazi punk scene Blood & Honour, which had its assets frozen in 2025 on anti-terror grounds. Waters, who has been photographed wearing an SS hat, has also been involved in anti-migrant campaigns in Plymouth and Bristol.

Dean Phillpott is co-founder of the Kent Nationalist Movement, an anti-migrant street group, and has convictions for a brutal unprovoked gang stabbing and possession of a gun. He is aligned to a number of fascist groups, including Patriotic Alternative, Remigration Now and Britain First.
He is a vocal supporter of Restore, and has marched with Restore-branded banners at his street protests and sported Restore-branded clothing.
Nadya Ivana (AKA Aleisha Aurora) is a Restore activist from Nottingham. She has posed in an SS hat in front of a Nazi flag with the caption “I have a final solution but it requires some concentration ⚡⚡”. She has also posted pictures of her copy of Mein Kampf, videos of Hitler and antisemitic comments.
She attended a branch meeting in Gedling and posed in Restore-branded clothing.
Keith McFarlane was a key British National Party (BNP) activist and repeat candidate in Tyneside between 2001 and 2011. He went on to dabble in the English Defence League (EDL) and later joined Patriotic Alternative, helping to launch the neo-Nazi group’s North East branch. In 2021, he wrote:
“Adolf Hitler, who art in Valhalla, Sacred is thy name. Give us this day, your strenth, courage, conviction, and wisdom, that we may continue your struggle to save our race and secure a future for White children. This we beseech you. Hail Hitler!”
He attended a Restore branch meeting in Gateshead.
Elliot Lowe, who has been photographed performing a Nazi salute, acts as security for Street Sounds Promotions (SSP), Britain’s most active promoter of extreme-right music. SSP has ties to the broader Blood & Honour network.
He was a regular presence in Restore’s Greater Manchester mayoral campaign, where he photographed with Rupert Lowe (no relation).
“Martin” from Cheshire attended numerous EDL demos during the anti-Muslim group’s heyday. He went on to join Patriotic Alternative, and is a supporter of the Misanthropic Division, an international neo-Nazi network that aimed to recruit for the paramilitary Azov Battalion in Ukraine. He has claimed that when playing the computer game Grand Theft Auto, “I mostly just go around killing n*ggers”.
He was photographed at a Restore branch meeting in Tatton alongside his partner Michelle Smith, who is also a PA member.
James Munro was exposed by HOPE not hate in 2023 as a member of the Scottish Nationalist Society, a militant neo-Nazi group, between 2017 and 2019. He went on to join Patriotic Alternative in 2021, hosting an official PA podcast, and is a founder member of the fascist Homeland Party.
After we exposed him again as a Restore Dundee activist in May, his local branch organiser attempted to expel him, only for the leadership to intervene and protect him. He remains active in Restore.
Chris Mitchell is Patriotic Alternative’s former Eastern regional organiser. He went on to co-found the fringe fascist Independent Nationalist Network, and then to join the extreme National Rebirth Party, another PA splinter. He was convicted of hate crime offences in 2023
He has been photographed with Rupert Lowe, and ran a Telegram channel dedicated to supporting Restore, which he uses to push a stream of extreme racism, antisemitism and misogyny.
Restore Britain did not respond to our request for comment.
