Since we ran an article earlier this week about the claims of ‘former’ neo nazi Tony White, a number of people have contacted us and left messages regarding the article and White’s claims.
Members of the Socialist Workers Party (SWP) in particular have shown interest in the story and they are adamant that contrary to White’s claims, he is not in any way “with” the SWP.
Other individuals have told us that White claims to be working on Prevent and in the prison service. We have spoken to Prevent officers in Leeds and they tell us that White is not working with them and the prison service say that they have no record of him working with them or in the prison service, either.
So why is Tony White trying to ingraciate himself with the left by lies? He has a long history of violence targeted at people from a left background and was one of the founders of the notorious Redwatch website. He may well have changed his beliefs-a lot of people who become involved in the far-right do.
