An English Defence League (EDL) supporter is being sought by Lancashire Police in connection with two assaults and a burglary.

Liam Buckley, of Nelson, also has links to Blackpool, Burnley and Lytham St Annes.

Police would like to speak with him regarding the alleged assault of an 18 year old woman and burglary last Friday. They would also like him to help with their enquiries into another alleged assault, described as serious, on a 43 year old man.

Buckley’s Facebook profile shows he and his pals posing with an EDL flag. It also reveals likes for Britain First and the English Democtats’ Kevin Riddiough who so recently offended many by standing in the Batley & Spen byelection following the murder of Jo Cox.

A dialogue on his timeline also shows a young woman telling him he’s a “violent nasty boy” who needs locking up. She advises him to hand himself in to police.

That sounds like good advice.

Meanwhile Lancashire Police advise members of the public not to approach him, but if they see him to call them on 101. Alternatively sightings can be reported to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org.
