A Polish “patriotic” association is helping to arrange paramilitary-style training in England this month.
Ogniwo – ‘the Link’ – is an organisation that describes itself as a ‘Patriotic Association’ and is active mainly in London but also has chapters in Cambridgeshire and the South of England.
It has previously said in a posting on its Facebook page that Europe must remain white, though has since deleted the post.
After organising a paramilitary-style training session (which it calls “re-enactment”) with a reenactment unit called Legion-GROM last September, the organisation is now listed as a partner in a new £750 Legion-GROM course about to take place in mid-March.
This programme includes five weekends in Evesham, Worcestershire and final one in Poland.
The lead trainer is a retired special forces soldier called “Naval”, who spent 14 years serving in Poland’s elite special forces unit, GROM, doing tours in Afghanistan, Iraq and the Persian Gulf.
Organisers provide accommodation in the form of military-style barracks and food. Each participant must also wear a military uniform, preferably Polish.
Interestingly, along with self-defence, survival and first aid classes, participants learn how to use guns and knives in an urban environment.
Although they don’t use live ammunition in the UK, the final part of the training takes place over a weekend in Poland between 9-11 November, involving live firing according to the organiser’s website.
Finally, on 11 November the participants will take part in an independence march in Warsaw.
