EDL thugs shop themselves with video of racist ASDA stunt

Halifax English Defence League (EDL) thug Conrad Ayscough has been caught on camera launching an extraordinary racist tirade at an ASDA checkout.

Ayscough, who already has over 180 criminal convictions, was filmed by his pal and North West EDL supporter Duncan Cliffe.

A 12.5 minute video posted to Cliffe’s Facebook was uncovered by anti-fascist group, EDL News. A shorter version has now been published on YouTube.

It shows Ayscough entering what is believed to be an ASDA store in Crewe – Cliffe’s home town – with his dog.

Having strolled through the aisles Ayscough is finally challenged at the checkout by a security guard and then an ASDA staff member.

The guard politely advises Ayscough that you’re “Not allowed dogs in here mate.” His colleague then further explains that only guide dogs may enter the store.

Refusing to leave, Ayscough is reminded that animals are not allowed in the store.

He replies “You let Muslims in don’t ya?”, adding “In my eyes they’re animals.” He then repeats that “Muslims are animals.”

The serially stupid thug then thinks he’s making a point by saying there is no sign on the supermarket’s door to say animals are not allowed.

The ASDA staff member points out that there isn’t a no smokng sign either, but that everyone knows you cannot smoke in store.

At this point Cliffe, who also used to hang with the now proscribed National Action, decides to pipe up, saying “It doesn’t say no Muslims either”

Still refusing to leave the store and having then been challenged by someone off camera, Ayscough rants to Cliffe:

“F*cking knobheads aren’t they?

“It’s a f*cking dog, not a f*cking Muslim is it? Not a P*ki is it?

“She likes working at ASDA, I hate Muslims, so what’s the problem?”

In addition Cliffe, whose CV also includes joining Stockport wally Andrew Edge on an ill-fated attempt to attack Jeremy Corbyn, proudly flashes his Stephen Yaxley-Lennon branded debit card to camera.

Some might say is not bright on more than one level. We’ve redacted his account details.

Predictably the video went viral across social media platforms. Equally predictably, in a classic case of stable door bolting, Cliffe deleted it from his profile.

Given the furore over the “Ryanair racist” we expect this will not be the last we hear of this story.

EDL News contacted ASDA who no doubt will be keen to investigate, as will Cheshire Police.

This is just the latest in a long line of stupid stunts committed by Ayscough. His convictions include 15 months for violent disorder and theft, with one offence seeing him steal a car from a vulnerable woman.

As Jeremy Kyle told him when he ill advisedly decided to take part in the daytime TV show:

“You’re a disgusting human being…you’ve got 180 convictions for almost the worst crimes ever known to man.

“You’re a card-carrying member of the EDL and from where I come from people like you shouldn’t be in our society.”

You can watch that take-down here. It is recommended viewing.
