Yesterday, the former academic turned Reform UK cheerleader Matt Goodwin tweeted a clip from the recent anti-migrant protest at the Barbican in London.
“Why are you here today?” asks GB News ‘journalist’ Ben Leo to one of the protesters.
“Because I live in the local community and I’m concerned over my children’s safety,” she replied.
Mysteriously, however, the woman looked familiar. Some days before, a video titled, “Local women stand up to left-wing protestors protecting illegal migrant child abusers in Epping” was published by Turning Point UK. In it, an angry woman is screaming at the counter-protests. “I live there. I live there,” she shouted, pointing at some nearby houses. It was the same woman from the Barbican video. How could she be a ‘local’ to both Epping and the Barbican?
Clearly, this ‘concerned local resident’ isn’t quite what she claims. The woman in both videos was none other than Toni Collins (AKA Ginger Toni). Collins is a long-time close associate of Tommy Robinson, having been chief steward at his events for years and playing a key admin role behind the scenes of his media operation Urban Scoop.
This well known far-right activist has clearly been travelling between protests playing the local card.
Now that this has come to light, we’ve no doubt that both Ben Leo and Matt Goodwin will be happy to publicly correct the record. We won’t hold our breath!
