Casuals United’s hooligan boss Jeff Marsh has stepped up his war with the EDL.
Marsh has been trying to run Casuals United independently of the EDL but has struggled to get large enough numbers out for his big occasions as most hooligans still answer the call to the EDL first and foremost.
To say the least, this has been getting under Jeff’s skin for a while. The football hooligan boss has for a long time tried to convince people that he is a far more cunning and street wise leader than the EDL’s Stephen Lennon (aka Tommy Robinson), and tried to prove as much in Brighton last weekend when he called on EDL members to join him there to launch a “revenge” attack on progressive groups there.
Reports from the day suggest that not only did Marsh not get the large numbers of supporters he was hoping for, but that he ended up in a Brighton pub surrounded by police and antifascists, telling those assembled exactly what it was he thought of Stephen Lennon and his political ambitions.
Having still not recovered from his south coast humiliation and despite his public bravado, Marsh has been seething. On his own facebook wall he has been laying down the law to all who will listen to him, including popular Essex EDL man Gil Gould, that the EDL’s security is too lax and that he is not being shown the respect he deserves by the EDL.
As well as Lennon, Lennon’s PA Hel Gower comes in for some stick as does Andrea Kay from Blackburn EDL. Unsurprisingly, they’re accused of being “Reds”.
On hearing that she, Lennon and Gower were once more under attack from Marsh, Kay gave the typical EDL response that seems to annoy so Marsh so much: “Who is he anyway” she asked..
