Meet English Dems candidate Paul Rimmer

Matthew Collins - 25 04 14

The English Dems often protest that they are not racist. It’s hard to deny they are weird, but despite large numbers of former BNP members being in the party, they protest that they are merely English nationalists.

There’s plenty of evidence to suggest otherwise, but the party has appeared to be disappearing down the neck of a cheap bottle of English beer for a long time anyway.

Still, as expected, they have made a good showing in terms of candidates for the 2014 local and European elections. I’m sure party insiders are hoping that they are all genuine, too.

One character who has been on our radar for a while is Paul Duane Rimmer, the EDs former candidate for Mayor of Liverpool. A supposedly devout Christian, Mr Rimmer has some very strong views on a number of issues. Mainly about Gays, Jews, Catholics and of course, Muslims.

As well as standing in St Michaels ward in Liverpool, he is also number two on the party’s list for the European seat in the North West.

Picking just one comment from Rimmer’s Facebook rants would be an almost impossible task, so below, is a selection of some of his “best”.

They’re not the thoughts of any Christian I know
