Over the past year, Reform UK has moved from protest party to positions of real authority in local government. In doing so, it has begun to show what its politics look like in practice.
The results have been revealing. Despite promises to cut costs and bring competence to struggling councils, residents are facing rising council tax, cuts to vital services, and a stream of scandals and resignations. Much of the waste Reform claimed it would eliminate has proved hard to find, and the simple answers offered on the campaign trail have quickly unravelled in office.
This report examines what has happened where Reform UK has taken power so far, looking at the promises the party made, the decisions its councillors have taken, and what those choices mean for the communities they now govern.

We can stop them, but only if we start organising now.
This fight will be won on the ground, in our towns, our workplaces, and our communities. The more of us standing together, the stronger our resistance. Join us today and be part of the movement to stop Reform UK before they gain even more power.

We need you to be our eyes and ears on the ground.
Reform UK have MPs and councillors across the UK, and too many are escaping scrutiny. Some spread hate and division, and others have links to far-right groups or histories the public deserve to know.
Your local knowledge and tips can help us expose a wider pattern and stop them from gaining ground.
Help us do more of this work and take a stand against the divisive politics of Reform UK. Your donations enable us to organise locally, resist far-right extremism, and build a united front. Every contribution helps.
