Tensions monitoring

HOPE not hate works in places all over the country to offer an antidote to the poison of hate. We support people to push back against the far right and build truly strong, resilient communities that are better places for all of us.

Our tensions monitoring unit exists to support organisations and communities when they come under attack by the far right. Being in the far right’s crosshairs can be really scary. We believe nobody should have to go through it alone – and that by organising together, we really can come out the other side a stronger, more coordinated movement that can win the fight against the far right.

The unit shares the latest insights and analysis from our research team’s 24/7 monitoring of far-right activity across the UK, and supports communities to respond to far-right attacks. We also bring people together from all over the country to coordinate strategic responses to far-right targeting.

HOW WE WORK

HOPE not hate exists to challenge all kinds of extremism and build local communities. Our work focuses on the organised far-right, the communities who are susceptible to them and the issues and policies which give rise to them.
