Let’s bring people together, challenge hatred and extremism and build a more hopeful country.
Since the last general election, we’ve witnessed a worrying increase in anti-migrant activism, rising prejudice against minority communities, growing hostility towards LGBT+ people, and the spread of climate conspiracy theories.
We will be campaigning against any candidates who cross our Red Lines.
That’s candidates with a history of hateful politics, dividing communities or being part of the growing Radical Right in this country. Our campaign is driven by values, not personalities.
Will you join us in this crucial cause?
Do you want to stand against hate in politics? Sign our petition and send a clear message to candidates: It’s time to extinguish the flames of hate, not fan them.
HOPE not hate will campaign to prevent the traditional far right, Reform candidates, antisemitic conspiracy theorists and any others who cross our Red Lines from winning seats at the General Election. We will announce other candidates we oppose as and when they formally declare.
As well as those groups, there are current MPs who sit on the ‘Radical Right’. The Radical Right is an ultra-conservative form of the Conservative Party that combines an extremely nationalist, anti-immigration, and anti-elite message.
You can see our current 10 top target MPs from the Radical Right below.
HOPE not hate stands firmly against hate – be it racism, antisemitism, anti-Muslim hatred, transphobia or any other form of prejudice. We also oppose those who, through their views or actions, fuel hate and division between communities.
As the General Election draws near, we are re-asserting our Red Lines with the intention of judging all candidates by them. We have already found candidates that have crossed our red lines. Find out more about them and how we are campaigning locally to get them out.
We will call out any candidate that crosses our red lines. This will apply to candidates regardless of party or their role within it.
Our response will depend on the nature of the candidate’s behaviour:
